Can you charm merchants or guards in most cities? I played this game up until about five years ago but never really played the enchanter class much.

Also, how good is charm post Discord? I am somewhat alarmed to see the charmed pet's maxium damage was reduce below half the normal mob maximum damage. Still would seem useful; however, it would be so changed from the original opponent.
