Reaching
The portal for Thalassius is located on the far Eastern edge of Katta Castrum at location (-1150,-4800, -510).
Exploring
You port into a large outdoor valley on a good sized platform surrounded by a small amount of water. The zone-in is mostly safe but wandering mobs do rarely cross the platform. The outdoor area is composed of 3? different mobs (Regrua, Hraquis, and Fish) and nothing in sees invis.
The entrance to the tunnels is just to the North of the zone-in. Be aware that any of the elementals or Kedge in the underground portion can see invis and very rarely see SoS, especially once you get further in. The underground area makes a large circle underneath the zone.
Camps
- The port-in location is mostly safe although there is a rare chance that a wandering mob will come by and there is always the danger of trains.
- North, behind and on the sides of the tunnel entrance (700, -250), seems to be safe and I have not seen any mobs wandering there.
- The first large room in the underground area is relatively safe if you place yourself in an unused cubby between mobs. You can safely single pull mobs at level 75 as long as you're careful not to have them path too close to another mob. Be aware of several wandering mobs North/South up the tunnel entrance and East/West across the center of the room.
Experiencing
- Trash mobs on the outside are dark blue to a level 75 and quad for 1400-1500. They have no special abilities other than the occasional spell caster.
- Just inside the entrance to the tunnel mobs begin to hit a bit hard at 1500-1700. Assumably the max hit increases as you go further in.
- Spell casters here have an incredibly huge casting range and will cast as long as they have a line-of-sight to you. Pulling becomes a matter of finding a hiding spot in order to pull the mob closer to the group. There are no special or notable spells, just the usual casters, and spells will be mostly resisted if your resists are in the 250-300 range.
- All? mobs run at low health.
- Respawn is a brisk 12 minutes or so, at least on the upper side and just inside the tunnel entrance.
Named
- Rockcrusher -- Is known to spawn from any of the six placeholders at the two towers on either side of the entrance to the tunnels. It may also spawn from any Regrua mob placeholder. Drops a nice All/All 90 hp + mods augment and a 245 hp melee ring. No special abilities but hits around 1900.
- Muckdiver -- Is known to spawn from the same spots as RockCrusher and likely any Hraquis placeholder as well (was seen wandering). Drops a 245 hp melee mask and an All/All 60 hp+mods augment. No special abilities but hits around 1900.
- Wavecrasher -- No confirmed spots but likely comes from any placeholder that can spawn a water elemental.
